Open Doesn’t Mean Broken

Jesus loved the broken—so why do we keep hiding our wounds?
There’s a voice the world gives us when we’re hurting: “You’re too damaged. “You’re too emotional. “You’ve got too much baggage. “You’re broken.”
But here’s the truth—Jesus loved the broken. He didn’t love despite their brokenness. He loved because they were honest about it. Because they were open. Because they were real.
🌿 His Grace Meets Us in the Mess
When the woman reached for the hem of His garment, He didn’t shame her for her desperation. When the leper cried out, “If you are willing, you can make me clean,” Jesus didn’t hesitate—He touched him. When Peter failed Him three times, Jesus didn’t cast him out—He restored him. And when the woman wept at His feet, wiping them with her hair, He didn’t recoil—He welcomed her worship.
Jesus never required perfection. He required honesty.
🔓 Open Is Where the Healing Begins
We’re not healed by pretending we’re fine. We’re healed when we bring our pain into the light. When we say, “God, here it is. All of it.” That’s where His grace floods in.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”— Matthew 11:28
Being open doesn’t make you weak. It makes you faithful. It makes you courageous. It makes you available for the love that changes everything.
💔 You Are Not Too Broken for God
Nothing disqualifies you from His love. Not the relapse. Not the scars. Not the doubt, or the anger, or the nights you almost gave up.
He sees every crack. And He still calls you worthy.
Open doesn’t mean broken. It means ready.
Ready for healing. Ready for purpose. Ready for something holy to begin.
✝️ This Is Holy Ground
Here at Breaking Barrs, we believe in grace first. In a God who turns shame into testimony. In a Savior who sits with the outcast and calls them beloved. In a Spirit who restores the crushed and binds up the brokenhearted.
So let it be known: You are not too much. You are not not enough. You are right where God can reach you.
Open your heart. Break the barrs. Let Jesus meet you there.
